Velomobiling is the way to go. Sure they're expensive in comparison to Cdn Tire bikes but they last, and they're meant to replace a gas vehicle. Compared to a gas vehicle, they're absolutely cheap, require no insurance, parking, gas, less maintenance costs, etc. Our crowded roads in Ottawa (thanks to the transit strike, partially) wouldn't be so crowded if more people were commuting in these beautiful machines.
