Members from the Toronto Police Service, LGBT community and the Community Consultative Committee held an emergency meeting July 1 to address allegations of contact between police and LGBT community members during the recent G20 summit.

The meeting was called to address these concerns before the 30th annual Pride festival, taking place in Toronto this weekend.

When the festival begins on Friday evening, Church Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic and TTC buses travelling to Wellesley Station will be rerouted.

The event is set to take place rain or shine.
