Germany’s Maria Riesch collected her second gold medal in these Olympics by finishing first in the ladies Slalom with a time of 1:42.89. Riesch also won gold this year in the Ladies Super Combined Slalom.

Precarious weather conditions at the Whistler Creekside drove juries to postpone the women’s giant slalom event Wednesday at the Vancouver Olympic Games.
Under a snowy Whistler, the first run was completed, although some problems came up during some races due to heavy fog and snow fall.

Austrian Andrea Fischbacher won the gold medal in the ladies’ super-G in Whistler on Saturday, while favourite Lindsey Vonn of the United States settled for bronze.
Fischbacher’s time of 1:20.14 could not be beaten, as she finished 0.49 seconds ahead of silver medallist Tina Maze, of Slovenia, and 0.74 seconds in front of Vonn.
