Janne Ryynaenen lead the Finnish nordic combined team to first place in the large hill event with the farthest jump on Tuesday. His teammate Anssi Koivuranta earned the highest judges point total on his jump.

Emil Hegle Svendsen of Norway won gold in Men’s 20km Biathlon on Thursday with a time of 48:22.5 at Whistler Olympic Park.
In an interesting twist, Norway’s Ole Einar Bjoerndalen and Belarus’ Sergey Novikov both finished with the exact same time of 48:32.0 and were awarded silver medals.
