After day 4 in Vancouver, the Americans stay on top of the leaderboard with 8 Olympic medals. The Federation International of Bobsleigh and Tobogganing (FIBT) has denied a second protest against Amy Williams’ helmet. Williams won the gold medal in women’s skeleton on Friday by more than a half second overall. The Gold Rush Trail now runs through Russell, Manitoba. Canada’s Jon Montgomery won gold in the men’s skeleton on Friday, edging Martins Dukurs of Latvia by 0.07 seconds at the Vancouver Winter Games.
